3. How to use geomat fabric in highway slope protection project
To use geomat fabric in a highway slope protection project, follow these steps:
(1) Slope Preparation: Begin by cleaning the slope of any debris and leveling any low-lying areas by backfilling and compacting the soil. This ensures a smooth and stable slope surface.
(2) Geomat Fabric Installation:
(a) Lay the 3D Mesh: Start by laying the three-dimensional geomat fabric from the top of the slope to the bottom, ensuring a smooth connection between the fabric and the slope.
(b) Pre-Embedment: Extend the fabric by 40-80cm at the top of the slope and bury it in the soil, compacting it to provide a secure anchor for the fabric.
(c) Anchoring: Fix the geomat fabric in place by using U-shaped steel bars with a diameter of approximately 6mm. Install the steel bars from the bottom to the top of the slope, spacing them approximately 1.5-2.5m apart. In the middle, use 8# U-shaped steel bars. Additional fixation can be achieved using iron nails or bamboo nails.
⑷Covering soil After the three-dimensional vegetation net is laid, evenly cover the soil on the three-dimensional vegetation net, cover the net bag until there is no empty bag, and ensure that the thickness of the soil on the three-dimensional vegetation net is not less than 12mm. Then the fertilizer, auxin and cement are mixed evenly in a certain proportion and applied to the surface layer. The fertilizer is nitrogen:phosphorus:potassium=15:15:15 or nitrogen:phosphorus:potassium=10:8:7 compound fertilizer and organic matter containing N, and the fertilizer amount is about 30-50g/㎡.
3. Spraying. After the backfill is completed, hydraulic spraying is carried out, that is, grass seeds (sprayed at about 25 grams per square) and the adhesion agent, wood fiber, fertilizer, auxin, humectant and water that promote their growth are mixed and stirred in a certain proportion to form a uniform The mixed liquid is evenly sprayed on the slope surface by the hydraulic sprayer. settlement.
4. Overlay. After the spraying and planting is completed, the surface of the slope is covered with non-woven fabrics to maintain the moisture on the slope and reduce the scouring of the seeds by rainfall, so as to promote the growth of the seeds. If the temperature is too high, there is no need to cover it to avoid the occurrence of pests and diseases.
5. Maintenance management. After the spraying construction is completed, it must be maintained regularly until the lawn is flat. When the lawn grows to about 5cm, the non-woven fabric can be uncovered.
